It is now 5 years since the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) was introduced and 3 years since the introduction of the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (Dols).

Recent case law concerning learning disabled people in supported living and care homes has led to concerns over people being deprived of their liberty without safeguards.
